Capt. Greg Tang, raised
in Port Jefferson on Long Island, New York
and like most Long Islanders someone who holds an affinity to the waters
which surround it. I've played on Jones Beach as an infant, fished the
beaches and sound through childhood and as a teen and as an adult sailed
the waters in and out of Jones Inlet from Freeport
/ Baldwin Harbor to miles offshore in the Atlantic.
Having been the Chief Development/Technology Officer for a Wall Street
Software firm for 13 years at Merrin Financial,
now an X-Merrinite and ADPer,
has given me the opportunity to apply my skills to utilize the Internet
for not only my own personal use, but, the ability to highlight those resources and
promote this information for others to share. Having left the hustle and
bustle of NY life for the bucolic setting of
Frankfort Maine I now work out of our converted barn running the day-to-day
business of Glass Orchids,
UGotglass and other online ventures.
Hopefully over time with the help of this site and it's supporters I'll be back
at the helm of a boat instead of a computer.
