• UFiSH.com is an Internet Resource dedicated to people who use the Internet and are interested in Fishing or Boating.  Launched in 1996 we have been consistently increasing our traffic and visibility each year and have an established presence in all the major search engines as well as a significant amount of links on other related fishing and boating websites.  With more than a thousand pages served a day there are over 400,000 opportunities and marketing potential for people to see and be directed to your business.
• We strive to provide a simple, fast, and, highly intuitive interface that will work effectively on the variety of browsers that people may use (MS-IE, Netscape, AOL, WebTV, …).  With limited per page advertising and conservative use of graphics, we ensure the site will also load quickly and optimally.

We are now processing requests for website banner advertising and sponsorship and offering these services to the general public both on our UFiSH Website and the UFiSH Boat.  Banner advertising is straightforward advertising described more fully in the next section.

Sponsorship involves a higher level of commitment & cost but provides a more highly visible presence and physical ad space.   In order to differentiate long-time supporters from general advertisers we have come-up with different tiers of support and pricing in order to allow us to present our clients sites and ads more effectively.

All Sponsors are provided 4 box-style banner ads on one or more web pages in addition to a free full-size banner ad on our Sponsor’s page.  You are also designated as a supporter and affiliate of UFiSH with deeper ties and input into the design and direction of our site.

We are now offering advertising on the UFiSH boat.  The boat is docked from spring to fall at the Winterport Marine floating dock in Winterport, Maine.  Winterport is just south of Bangor and the boat travels and fishes around the Penobscot Bay and River area with occasional trips to Bangor, Belfast, Bucksport, Islesboro and the Bar Harbor regions.  The boat is owned and operated by UFiSH's Greg Tang who now resides in Frankfort Maine.  He posts fishing reports on various boards along with photographs on this website as well as other fishing & boating sites.

Physical Boat sponsorship is currently available only on the UFiSH boat in Maine at this time.  We are selling ad space on the hull, transom, superstructure sides and hard-top (which is often visible from the shore given Maine's 12' tide changes).

Pictures of the boat will be displayed on the site, and, the boat remains docked on the river side viewable by recreational, commercial and cruise boats traveling up and down the river.

Boat sponsorship involves the printing and applications of marine-grade boat lettering for your company and varies based on wording length, size and complexity.  We also offer ads using 1 to 4 color edge prints, but these are significantly more expensive.  If you have your own stickers, labels, lettering or paste-up work used for other sponsorships we can customize a package price that makes sense for both you and UFiSH to promote your company.

Boat Sponsorship can be done alone or in conjunction with Website sponsorship.  When combined with Website sponsorship a discount is given on the website sponsorship price.  We recommended Boat Sponsorship for National companies with nationally available products or services, or, for local fishing and boating Businesses in the Maine/PenBay region.

Future plans involve expanding our pages within the boat manufacturing and regional pages, where we garner more traffic, as well as providing boat sponsorship on a variety of boats throughout the 50 states with other UFiSH clients and charters.  If you are a boat owner, charter captain or sponsor interested in participating in the UFiSH sponsorship program please contact us.

• Banner Advertising is the oldest and most common method of Internet marketing.  We believe this form of advertising is an important marketing outlet, but, we also want to ensure our clients ads are actually being seen, they load quickly, don’t clutter or degrade the look and feel of a page or website, deliver users to the advertisers site quickly and ensure the client is not charged exorbitant and variable fees based on per-click impressions or over assumptions they will drive a certain amount of business.
• All of our Ads are STATIC and do NOT Rotate with other Ads.  They are placed in the Ad Space and may shift around based on page designs, but they are visible 365 days, 24 hours and 7 days a week.
• We try to keep banners file sizes relatively small to ensure they load quickly and don’t require any plug-ins.  Banners can be in JPEG or GIF format and may contain GIF animation.
• All Sponsor and Banner Ads go DIRECTLY to your site.  They do not go through any click-through process or tracking subroutines.  They also do not contain any Ad Ware, Popup or Data-Mining routines.  Not only do we find these annoying and an invasion of privacy (though there are advantages in tracking & statistics) it’s another step (or more) before people are actually taken to your site.  This can slow the user’s ability to display your page, as some servers may have to lookup & translate an address or ID or log the ‘click counter’ and user/demographic information first.
• Banner Ads are available in 3 sizes:
• Full Size Standard, Long Rectangular Box, that are 468x60 pixels in size.
• Box-Size, Small Rectangular Box, which are 120x60 pixels in size.
• Tag-Size, Small Box, that are 80x60 pixels in size and placed in menus or next to sites for more visibility at a very low-cost.

• Supporters and Advertisers of UFiSH can place their ads and links in any number of locations on the UFiSH site.  Each area generates a certain ratio of traffic that we monitor and use in the calculations of our rate schedules.
